LONG

Long is still only a four letter word.

Today is the summer solstice.  In the northern hemisphere, this marks the day with the longest daylight and the shortest night.

Summer means many things - one can think about all the activities you do during the summer... kids think about school being over... it can evoke memories of food and picnics and ice-cream... images of splashing in water... bright, warm, cloudless days... pleasant walks in the cooling evening hours...

Just remember to cherish them while you can.  Since today is the longest day... that means days are getting shorter from here out.

  3. I compare it to winter... where I'll need to be up at 3:30 to shovel something out... or where the kids won't wake up until its later because the sun hasn't risen yet. Thanks... but I'll take summer.
(Of course... the good thing about winter is that means the days are getting longer!)
