GALE

Gale is a four letter word.

Although it has a specific meteorological definition, a gale is broadly speaking "a strong wind".

Today marks the beginning of the hurricane season in the Atlantic Ocean.

As I write this, tornados watches and warnings cover the northeast United States, and people across the country continue to recover from tornados last month.

And yet... I have my windows open and a nice stiff breeze blows through my office.

The elements contain both the desirable and undesirable four letter words.  Be prepared for both.
