TOUR NINE

Tour is a four letter word... a four letter word.
Nine is a four letter word.

Word reaches us today of the death of the man who sent us on an endless three hour tour, and introduced us to a hyper-real family of nine - Sherwood Schwartz.  Although likely to be best remembered as the creator of "Gilligan's Island" and "The Brady Bunch", he was also a writer for Bob Hope, Red Skelton, and various other radio and TV programs in the 50's and 60's.

Critics panned his two television shows, but they were wildly popular when they first aired.  I found them both very silly when I first watched them... but I watched them, nonetheless.  I think I was always attracted to the Rube Goldberg contraptions on the island... but no clue why I watched the Brady Bunch.
